John E. Stavrakos, MS, MD
Dr. Stavrakos is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a first generation Greek-American with strong family values. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University before attaining his M.D. at The Chicago Medical School. His residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation was at Stanford University and the Medical College of Wisconsin, after which he completed a fellowship in Women’s Sports Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin before entering private practice. He has received extensive post-graduate training in regenerative medicine procedures including prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), neural (neurofascial) prolotherapy, and stem cell procedures. He speaks Greek, French and English. Dr. Stavrakos and his wife, Joanna, reside in Lexington, SC with their young son, Harry. Dr. Stavrakos splits his time between our West Columbia, North Augusta, Greenville, North Charleston and Fort Mill prolotherapy offices.
